Bong Go wants more Pinoys vaccinated
SENATOR Bong Go sees more than 20 million Filipinos needing to be vaccinated against COVID-19 with the help of the government.
Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go on Saturday pushed for additional government funding to procure coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines expected to hit the market by December.
Go said that aside from the P20 billion that the Finance Department is setting aside to procure vaccines for the 20 million Filipinos who cannot afford them, he is seeking more funds so more can be vaccinated.
He said he is making the push as chairman of the Senate Health Committee.
China has assured the Philippines that it will be prioritized in the distribution of vaccines as a friendly neighboring country.
