SEN. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go attended on Thursday the launch of the 51st Malasakit Center at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) in Quezon City.

Expressing his compassion for children battling various diseases, Go said the new Malasakit Center is ready to assist those securing financial assistance to ease the burden of paying medical fees and other expenditures.

“Kung dati rati ay aabutan pa sila ng apat na araw para humingi ng tulong, ngayon isang araw na lang dahil sa Malasakit Center (If in the past they had to wait for four days before they can seek assistance, now they can have it in one day),” Go added.

The senator, who heads the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, assured parents whose children are diagnosed with cancer that the administration is ready to help them.

He said Congress has approved his priority bill, the Malasakit Center Act of 2019, and it is now set to be signed by the President. The bill aims to institutionalize Malasakit Centers nationwide.
